Final Jury Performance
Jury date:
Monday, December 12, 2011 starting at 8:30am in Digital Library Auditorium.
Jury requirements:
Classical Piano Requirements:
- Technique: students need to be prepared to play scales and arpeggios (hands together, 2, 3, or 4 octaves) from a selection of at least 8 scales
- Repertoire piece(s)
- Sight reading: from Bartok’s Mikrokosmos (any volume) or other for jazz piano students
Jazz Piano Requirements:
- Technique: students need to be prepared to play a chord with the left hand and scale/mode with the right with a "swing feel"
- Repertoire piece(s) from "The Real Book"
- Sight reading: from "The Real Book" (students should be prepared to "comp" chords and improvise throughout the entire song)
Students need to fill out a Jury Form (3 copies)
