MUS 32: Class Piano
This 1-unit course is designed for students who are pursuing to develop keyboard facility and reading of music notation in a group work setting. It is programmed to prepare students in elementary and intermediate piano skills. The course content also provides advanced piano students an opportunity for additional skill and competency development. For music majors or minors at RCC, concurrent enrollment in the following music courses is recommended: Music 3, Music 4, or Music 5.
MUS 53: Keyboard Proficiency
This 1-unit course is designed to assist students in acquiring functional keyboard skills necessary for completing the Piano Proficiency Examination required of all music degree-seeking students. The course content provides opportunities for individual attention and performance. Subsequent enrollment will provide the student an opportunity for additional skills and competency development. For music majors or minors at RCC, concurrent enrollment in the following music courses is recommended: Music 3, Music 4, or Music 5.
